Yup, it got done! The new layout around here is looking spiffy, if I do say so myself. Switched from 2 columns to three and moved some stuff around. Also, the "Projects" page is now the "Books" page, while I've taken down the schedule. Also, the layout is optimized for widescreens, so there may be some scrolling on smaller, squarer monitors...which probably isn't a lot of you, and if it is, congrats, you are the 1% of computer users and are probably used to it! =P
Also, the Facebook page has a new look now as well! I'm loving seeing this cover everywhere, let me tell ya. Love it so much I wish I could make wallpapers for y'all to download, but my usage license doesn't let me. OH WELL.
I'm glad that's over with. Refreshing to see a new layout, but don' task me how long it took to hack into the blogger html to change some super simple things that should've been easier to do. Good thing I used to code websites by hand ~way back in the day~. Ugh.

Campaigning time!
So I've seen this going around the Blogosphere and, after reading about it, decided to join in! Basically it's a way for writers/authors/in the biz etc to expand their contacts and help promote each other. I mean, how cool and handy is that? There's also challenges and prizes to be had in your groups. Sign ups end on the 31st and the campaign runs until the end of October, soooo get to it!
Here is the ver batim blurb from Rach's (the head person's) blog:
"'Basically, the Campaign is a way to link those of us in the writing community together with the aim of helping to build our online platforms. The Campaigners are all bloggers in a similar position, who genuinely want to pay it forward, make connections and friends within the writing community, and help build each others' online platforms while at the same time building theirs."
So how about you? I'll be joining the Urban Fantasy and LGBT lists! :)
ETA: Haha, I intended to post thsi two days ago, but with shoddy internetz whatcha gonna do :(

"Your blog is schizophrenic."

| Don't jump! You guys will be fiiiine. |
Probably.
The LiveJournal came first, many years ago when I realized that my real name was still free for taking and I snatched it up. I later made it my writing journal, in which I mostly posted my works, like poems and song lyrics. Later on I transformed it into what you see now. At the time of its creation, however, I named the journal after a short story I had written around that era. The story was called, obviously, "Hello From a Stranger", and was about a married couple that had been separated for a long period of time. When they were reunited they still loved each other, but felt like strangers in how each had changed. The story revolved around them trying to find a level of comfort between one another once again. (See, this is what I wrote in high school. What happened to me.) And since this was to be a public blog in which I would not know most of my readers, and likewise they would not know me, "Hello From a Stranger" just seemed poetic and appropriate.
When I really started rolling on the blog a couple years ago, I decided to change the name to "Musings From a Procrastinating Author", because that title just pretty much summed up what was going on. I was musing. I was a procrastinating author. Plus it has a ring to it, yeah? As for the reason why I never switched the LiveJournal name over...well, I liked the older title. And, I totally forgot. Yup.
But to clear any and all confusion...the blog's official name is Musings, and yes, I know you really care.
Because, after all, Carla cared. Thanks, Carla.
