Brief Update On Photo Guide

So I realized that in my last post I didn't mention anything specifically about the photo guide, although I count it as one of the side projects. Currently I am sifting through all of the pictures I took and trying to think of how best to organize them. This project has turned into something bigger and will take longer to complete, but I will definitely keep you all on the up and up about what's going on with it! I mean, I still have to figure out what to do about a cover. But I ain't gonna worry about that right now. No, tonight my goal is to backup these hundreds of photos!

To tie you over, here's two random photos - click on them to enlarge them!

Checking In And Checking Out

Hey all! Thanks for all the kind messages I've received from all over the web regarding my trip. For those of you who don't follow me on social media, I made it to Japan a week ago and am doing fine! More than fine, if you count that the photobook is coming along nicely! Check out some of the previews below!

You can see more every day on my tumblr and my Facebook page. Enjoy!

Update On Everything, Plus Japan

I've been terrible lately about updating around here. It's been what? At least a couple of weeks? I have no excuse other than work in general eating up my time. Since I got a good PT work from home job in June, I have been very busy making the money to go to Japan this October! I can't believe it's almost two months away!

I wish I could say I have more preparations ready, but in truth, aside from the tickets (which I purchased in June) there is nothing else I can get right now! I can't reserve a guest house room until next month, because for some reason in Japan you can't reserve rooms more than eight weeks in advance. Yeah, no pressure, right? But I am more or less ready to go! I just need October to roll around so I can just get on that plane and jet off to Narita.

(I'm still accepting donations for the trip, by the way! Donations currently go to room and board, train tickets to get around, and a new camera to make sure the photos for the ebook are great! In case you missed it, I'm going to Japan in part

In the meantime, you may have noticed that no novel came out during July! That's because I've been taking my time to make sure that book 1 of JIAI JOUWA is the best it can be. It's still slated to come out at the end of September, and is currently ahead of schedule.Look forward to it!

GoFundMe Project - Send Me On a Trip to Tokyo to Create an Ebook!

Shibuya (Photo By Me)
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT TIME! I am both excited and absolutely PETRIFIED to announce that I have just kicked off a GoFundMe project to fund a trip to Tokyo this October and create an Ebook. And not just any Ebook. A Ren'Ai Rensai visual guide, complete with hand-picked photos showing off the inspirations of the series. Up on the docket? Ni-chome (both day and night,) Kita Ward, Minato Ward, and a myriad of other smaller places that make up the mark that is the Ren'Ai Rensai setting.

I have been itching to get back to Japan already, and I knew that the next time I went I would be creating this guide. It was originally going to be a surprise (surprised?!) but I realized...if I keep waiting to make enough money off of royalties and freelancing to go, I'll be waiting who knows how long! Thus I am both super excited about this crowdfunding project, and petrified. While on one hand GoFundMe lets me keep this open indefinitely and take out the money whenever I need, some things, like cheap airfare, are time sensitive. My current goal is $3000. Not impossible, but it could take a while to get there!

That's why I need YOU! to help me! Even if you can't donate any money (and every few dollars helps - once I reach $100, I will be searchable and available to feature on the GoFundMe site) I would really appreciate if you would blog, tweet, or share the link on Facebook. There are some great rewards, including complimentary copies of my Ren'Ai Rensai Ebooks,  so spread the word! More info can be found at the link above.

(Oh, and October is my birthday! So it would also bee a GREAT birthday present! ;))
