Weekly Writing Check-In: Wait...oh...oh oops.

What I should've spent my weekend doing.
AHAHAHA @ ME LOL. I didn't write much this week. Kinda taking a weekend break because a friend from Tokyo visited me and we just kinda partied all over the place. And when I did have time to write I decided sleep was more important. How very dare I, I know.

Meanwhile, playing a lot of Sims again. Novel characters are the best in this game. One of them even got a horse this weekend. Ain't that special? That's special.

Meh, let's be real. The reason why I'm not writing as much really is because I'm not as inspired with where I'm at right now. Hence, a little break to recharge the muse. Mostly I just haven't written some good ol' fashion'd  smut in a while. Too much plot, not enough sex. Happens in books, I hear. The answer is to just go ahead and write some unrelated smut, but then I feel bad because I'm not working on what I should be working on. Vicious cycles. Sigh.

But at this rate I may just go ahead and write some smut.

I may or may not let you know how it turns out.

  1. Yep, breaks from writing are very important.

I also create the characters from my WIP in Sims, trying to build their house to match my story too. Crazy? Maybe a little, eh?

    1. Haha there is -no- way I could reconstruct any of my characters' houses (and I've tried reconstructing a shack at the very least). I'm not gifted for building. Decorating? Aw hell yeah.

  2. Hey, we all need a break. At least you are writing. Head up girly. We all need to write/read a good smut scene or two every now and again. *evil grin*

    1. Yes, sometimes it's all about a girl and her smut ;)

  3. If smut is what your muse needs then smut is what you should write :-)

  4. Hi Hildred, nice to meet you. Just stopping by from the campaign, we are in the fantasy group together. Now following you via RSS. I lived and taught in Gifu-ken for 3 years, although that was more than two handfuls of years ago. Best of luck in all your writing endeavors.

    1. Nice to meet you as well! :) where in Gifu did you live? I mostly live and work in the central and northern mountainous regions, although I do spend enough time in the "city" to be bored there too, ha!

    2. I lived in a small town called Mitake-cho, which is quite close to Kani-shi, if you've heard of either of those places. It was most certainly one of the defining experiences of my entire life, mostly in good ways. :) To this day I still miss Koko Ichiban take-out curry. I've never found anything remotely like it here in the states.

    3. Kani is right across the river from here. Actually, I think I can see it from my apartment. I live in Minokamo. I'm mostly just here to save some money before jetting back to the states in April (this is my third time living in Japan, so it's kinda old hat.) There's a Coco's curry near here but I admit I cannot stand Japanese curry. I will be quite glad to no longer smell it every day. (I also live right across from a plumbing refuse. I'll also be quite glad when I'm no longer waking up at 7am to the sounds of toilets being thrown around =P)

    4. I suppose we'll have to "agree to disagree" on the curry, it was a highlight for me - it does have a very strong and far-reaching smell, tho. :) I'm quite with you on the plumbing refuse! Safe journeys in all your travels.
